Duanwu Festival

The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month. Key activities include dragon boat racing and eating zongzi (sticky rice dumplings) to honor the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. People also hang mugwort and calamus, drink realgar wine, and wear perfumed sachets to ward off evil and pray for health.
