Hello everyone, as we all know, the 2025“HAPPYCHINESE NEW YEAR"FOLK FAIR AND ASIAN CULTURAL FESTIVAL has been held in Finland for a long time, and it is a good place for the Chinese diaspora to experience the flavor of the New Year in their hometowns, evoke the emotions of homesickness, and also a good opportunity to spread Chinese culture.
This year, in order to let Finns also feel the atmosphere of Chinese New Year, we brought Chinese intangible cultural heritage Cantonese embroidery to Helsinki! Cantonese embroidery first originated during the Tang Dynasty. During the Qing Dynasty, the development of the Thirteen Houses of Commerce contributed to the development of Canton embroidery, and it was considered a luxury artwork by the British Royal Family. Canton embroidery is famous for its artistic features of full composition, evocative images, clear textures, rich colours and varied stitches, and is known as one of the four most famous embroideries in China, together with Suzhou embroidery, Xiang embroidery and Su embroidery.
SinoCultural mainly does overseas export of Canton embroidery, an intangible heritage culture, and hopes to let more people feel the charm of Canton embroidery. Not only that, trendy women's bags, home furnishings and other kinds of products that contain intangible heritage culture and skills are spread overseas by SinoCultural. And let more people feel the fusion of intangible cultural heritage and modern products.
